Our Library is the heart of the St. Luke’s Episcopal School. Librarian, Mikel McClure, encourage students to come to the library to explore new ideas, discover new authors and feed their natural curiosity about world around them. Students are welcome to visit the Library before class starts in the morning, during recess or at other times during the day.
The goal of the library program is to foster lifelong readers who are passionate about reading, open to exploring new authors, new ideas and new information. Our collection includes thousands of books and hundreds of DVD's for student and faculty use. After completing a book, students may take an AR quiz to test their reading comprehension. For each AR test passed, our students receive points that may be used to purchase items in the “AR Store”. Other reading incentives are offered throughout the year including snow cone day, crazy hat day and for students who reach their AR goal during a given 9 weeks.
