Exploring Literacy with St. Luke's!
Library Highlights Week is one of our most anticipated weeks of the year! Mrs. McClure host a full week of exciting literacy events. This gives our students even more opportunities to explore our library and discover all its offerings. Each year Mrs. McClure adds new twists to this special week; however, there are a few traditions that are tried and true to our Library Highlights Week that all the students love!

Every reader knows the importance of a bookmark, and although we all have found creative ways to mark our pages, an actual bookmark is a necessity! Our students compete in the Bookmark Design Contest each year. Our winners’ designs will be displayed for our entire school to view! However, ALL our contestants’ designs will be on display at the Goodwood Main Library throughout the month of March.

DROP EVERYTHING AND READ is announced several times throughout our school day during this exciting week. Although our students already have opportunities to read on a regular school day, DROP EVERYTHING AND READ gives our students the chances to enjoy unexpected literacy adventures at any moment throughout the day. Our Middle School students have an opportunity to be “Roaming Readers” during the week. This gives our Middle School students an extra opportunity to be role models for the Lower School. This special opportunity also sets an example and builds excitement for our Lower school students who will one day fill this role.
